Sailing Experience–Current to Spring of 2007

I discovered sailing as a boy growing up in Pennsylvania.  My first boat, a white oak framed 20 foot daysailer, was sailed on local lakes.  My pursuit of an engineering degree inspired me to redesign and rebuild a new rudder and centerboard.  Following the rudder and centerboard modifications I outfitted the boat with a new mast and Dacron sails from a Flying Dutchman.  These design and modification efforts were rewarded with greatly improved handling and many enjoyable days in my youth.

Experience:

1968-1980 – Lake Sailing in PA and NJ in daysailers

1980-1990 - Day Sailing in Barnegat Bay, NJ, Hobie Cats at Cape Cod, MA and at the NJ Shore.

1990-1993 - Crewed on a 36 foot Morgan on several Long Island Sound charters.

1994-2005 - Crewed on a 30 foot Catalina in the New York Metro Area and NJ Coastal.

2005 - Skippered a Beneteau 505, BVI for a one week charter with the Moorings.

2005 - Skippered a Beneteau 373 Summer Charter in NY Metro area with Liberty Yacht Charters.

2005 - Crewed for delivery of a 33’ NonSuch sailboat from Saybrook CT to Nyack NY.

2006 - Skippered a 44 foot Cat for one week, BVI and a 47 foot Cat for one week, BVI.

2006 - Skippered a Beneteau 373 Summer Charter in NY Metro area with Liberty Yacht Charters.

2006 – Crewed for Delivery of a 34’ Catalina from Annapolis, MD to Toms River, NJ.

2006 – Crewed for Delivery of a 54’ Hylas from Rhode Island to Bermuda - Video from Bermuda Trip:
