Labor Day weekend was a sail from Jersey City to Sandy Hook, NJ where we anchored out overnight on the West shore of the Hook. Daughter Katherine and friend Jon joined us for the weekend.

Steve at home in the galley. Bacon, Eggs, Toast, OJ and Coffee start the day before we winterize the boat and take the sails down.
We may have put the boat up for the winter, but there are several winter projects and planning for the next season that we will be working on before spring arrives. Steve plans to spend one or two nights a week on the boat on these projects so that we'll have an even better season in 2008. Call and spend an evening on-board.
August 12th Steve with Diane on a trip out to the five mile marker off Barnegat Bay

August 24th Kevin flying his Jennicker on the way up the NJ coast. Good we had this we were running with only 4 to 6 knot winds.

August 24th. Kevin at the top of the mast unwrapping the Jennicker. We flew it well for about two hours and has a mishap while tacking downwind. The jennicker was saved and all was well.
Dinner aboard. Steve cooked a special meal of Mexican Pasta - Salsa, turkey meatballs and penne pasta. Without glasses on Steve accidently used the Salsa instead of the sphagetti sauce. Hey, it was sitting right next to the pasta. Crewmates Debbie and George wisely jumped ship just prior to the meal.

August 25th. Having lunch at the Sandbar Cafe in Jersey City, NJ waiting for the tide to change for the final leg up the Hudson river. Steve stayed in Jersey City and Kevin completed the trip solo.
