Michael shown helping to install new hoses for the head. Michael and William installed all new hoses and the head odors have all but disappeared. I rebuilt the head over the winter. I'm told I am really a sailboat owner now.
A prototype template for a two step stair from the dock.....I'lll space two of these pieces apart the width of the opening in the lifelines and add the two steps and a handrail on one side.
New Instrument panel July 2007 courtesy of Petersen Boatyard. Oil pressure, Temperature, Voltage, Engine Hours, Red Light/Buzzer and Tachometer. All working but the tachometer, have to do some research on the alternator to see why we're not getting a signal.

New Block and teak base replaces the one we pulled out of the rail July 4th weekend.

Installing GFI outlets at the sinks. This outlet is technically on the starboard side. Always check for power when you work with electricity.

New cushions are in.
2011 - Rick's Marina in Forked River:
Installed a new starter for the engine - The old one was not turning over very well or just "clicked", probably due to a leaking seal that is allowing oil to seep onto the flywheel and then get thrown onto the starter. Will address the seeping oil next.
Replaced a frozen motor on main bilge pump and installed a second bilge pump! Everyone thought this was a good idea and it gives me some more peace of mind.
Installed a fresh water washdown for the anchor. With the short cruises we make and 150 gallons of water tank storage we'll see how it works out. My other option is to tie the pump into the raw water seacock beneath the head, or install a second system just for raw water.
Intalled a drain for the AC condensor directly into the bildge.
Air Conditioning is here Spring of 2008. We were able to locate the unit under the berth in the Captains cabin. It runs quiet and really cools the boat. 16,000 BTU reverse cycle unit. Had 95 degree temps outside and the cabin was very comfortable at 72 degrees.
New thermostat and teak grill in the main salon
New teak grill in the Captains Cabin. The cool air travels nicely to the galley from this vent. The ducts run from the unit under the berth, under the floor of the closet and up the closet back wall to the two grills.
New 30 AMP Breaker for the AC. Had to go on-line and order one to fit the panel. Found a company on-line in Maryland that could supply the breaker. Note I'm still missing a screw - it's not loose, but missing. I had a new nameplate made also. I thought the red with larger letters would be more readable. Then I started thinking I should change out ALL the nameplates, then I was at the hobby store and saw LED's that I could wire into the panel to light up when the circuit is active.....then I thought why, and went sailing..................
The captains cabin has a new mattress: Spring 2008. 7 1/2" latex with a pillow top. It's very comfortable and.....
We had it built with a hinge to provide access to the engine beneath the berth.
The ruler is here to measure for new foam around the panel opening.
Hot air heat is coming. Checking the fit for a heat exchanger / blower unit next to the hot water heater.

Looking onto additional solar vents for hatches and lockers. NEW solar vent installed on V-Birth hatch June 22, 2008.
Spring of 2008; New electronics!Compete with Radar and Autopilot. More details on 2009 Winter Projects.
